Who We Are

Cavalry For Christ is a 501(c)(3) faith-based non-profit.  We are a first-response disaster relief  organization, staffed by full-time volunteers.  We are overseen by a board of directors, with a wide range of professional and social backgrounds. 

In disaster situations, we are prepared to provide first-response relief with humanitarian aid.  We serve as a coordinating agency to collaborate resources and services.  Our services include preparing and serving hot meals, coordinating and disbursing supplies and resources, housing and feeding volunteer teams, and coordinating local needs and relief efforts.

Updates And Happenings

May 13, 2008- C4C is looking at buildings to house our headquarters and operations.  We have found a building that is available and perfect for our use. We are currently searching for funds to enable our acquisition of this property. This property would enable us to consolidate our equipment, provide warehousing for supplies, and office space. If interested in helping acquire this building, please contact us.

May 5,2008: We are heading to our headquarters in KY the end of this month. We will be busy raising funds, repairing equipment, and regrouping for the next disaster operation. After 2.5 years of relief work in Mississippi, our funds are low. Please consider donating, so we will be able to continue to respond to future disasters. Thank You.

April 20, 2008: C4C and founder, Greg Porter, featured on Direct TV's series "Hometown Heroes".  Footage of the early days of the relief effort on the Mississippi Gulf Coast as well as interviews with owners of homes rebuilt by our organization.

April 6&7, 2008: Our founder, Greg Porter, was honored as a recipient of  The National Caring Award, presented by the Caring Institute.

C4C's Mobile Kitchen unit continues service in Greensburg, Kansas tornado relief effort.

Our mission is to provide first response disaster relief and recovery due to natural and man-made disasters . To provide a haven for those in need of fellowship, spiritual guidance, meals and supplies to recover and rebuild thier lives. To uphold our core values of Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control. We will accomplish this by partnering with other organizations, in order to make relief efforts more efficient. For short term volunteer groups, we will provide disaster relief training, accomodations and meals, and coordinate work projects in order to make it possible and efficient for these groups to help in relief efforts.       We strive to have capable, trained and dedicated long-term staff to serve. Our staff will maintain a covenant with C4C and our board of overseers, holding us accountable to the core values of our organization.
